A tubular motor is a cylindrical electric motor designed to fit inside roller tubes. It connects to the tube via adapters and rotates the tube to raise or lower blinds, shutters, or awnings. The motor includes built-in limit switches that stop it at precise open and closed positions.

Torque depends on the weight and size of the blind or shutter. Small roller blinds typically need 6–10Nm, medium blinds 10–20Nm, and large shutters or awnings 20–50Nm. Our team will calculate the exact torque requirement based on your fabric weight, tube diameter, and drop length.

Yes, in most cases tubular motors can be retrofitted into existing roller tubes. As long as the tube diameter is compatible (35mm, 45mm, or 58mm) and there is access for wiring, the motor can be inserted without replacing the entire blind system.
